| How are we governed ?. |

The AER Centre, Shimla is a H.P. University maintained institution governed under the rules and regulations of the H.P. University, Shimla. The Vice-Chancellor, H.P. University, Shimla or his nominee is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee (AC). The AC works under the general control and supervision of the Executive Council of the H.P. University, Shimla.
The H.P. University signed MoU in 1998 with Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India regarding integration of AER Centre, Shimla in the H.P. University as the Department of the University. Out of 12 AERCs in the country 8 Centers have been integrated with their respective universities. The nearest AERC at Ludhiana is also integrated with PAU.
Faculty of AER Centre
The AER Centre has a faculty of nine persons engaged in research work. Among these three positions are of Reader level and six are Research associates. Six of the faculty members have Ph.D. degrees.
Advisory Committee
The Committee is constituted for advise on technical administrative and financial matters. The Committee is constituted for the period of 3 years. The Committee meets twice a year under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor. Presently the Advisory Committee has following members.
